Family Tents are subject to random and continuous quality control throughout the Frame Agreement duration period.
For the validation and qualification of Family Tent samples, it is advisable to first ensure strict adherence to the main material specifications. Information about approved technical laboratories can be obtained directly from the UNHCR Supply Management Service in Budapest.

The tent fabric tarpaulin is made of high-quality PE (Polyethylene) material, designed for durable use across all seasons.
Standard production features four heat-sealed edges with PP tarpaulin, plastic triangle reinforced corners, optional aluminum eyelets every 3 feet or 1 meter, and individual poly bag packaging with custom paper labels.
Qualification requires sending two complete samples to a UNHCR-approved laboratory—one dedicated to material property testing and the other to a rain test. Both tests must pass on the same sample batch for approval.
Colors include white, blue, yellow, red, transparent, or custom colors. Sample preparation and confirmation take approximately 30 to 45 days after deposit confirmation.
